Score No.29-33:
WHEN WE FALL. APART FROM ETERNITY-2,3

THE SCORE
At first it is just an ordinary scene of two figures, a bit bored, every here and then one of them says an unrelated sentence – more to himself or to
the other. The performative action does not follow a linear narrative, but with a strong meditative note instead. Throughout the performance, different
states of mind are intertwined, created by subtle changes of position, performative mode and dialogue. The imaginative worlds pass from
the two figures/sculptures and their inner lives, to two subjects posing behind the sculpture or remembering this experience in retrospect. From
the “classical” perspective, related to the figure and solely visual aspect, the movement material also correlates to the behaviour of different materials
(cracking, breaking, disintegrating, molding, bending, etc.), in order to encompass the inner landscapes of the exhibited works. The process proceeds in any
direction: two living figures that increasingly turn into stone/wood sculptures, or two sculptures that reveal more and more of their living experience.
At the same time, the performers also play with the representation of the space they are in: are they quite small in a display case, half-made and
forgotten in an archive, do the decorate a fountain in the city, or are they just a sketch for the moment?
Score No. 29-33 (2,3) are two further versions of the Score No. 27-29, adjusted to and performed within ETIKE/TE group exhibition in Simulaker gallery and at the opening in Goga bookstore. The performative-visual installation explores different landscapes in a broader relationship with sculpturing, as well as other visual works. With slow and subtle movement it builds an none-intrusive yet palpable atmosphere. In the performative endurance, the diverse perceptual layers and imaginative spaces of the exhibited visual works gradually begin to unfold through a synaesthetic dialogue.
Thematically and methodologically, the performance also touches upon human existence in the contemporary world, which on the one hand appeals to an ever-increasing production and accumulation of events, but at the same time does not allow/create enough social contexts of inner peace to be able to listen and observe at all. In doing so, it also indirectly questions the very meaningfulness of desire and creation in an oversaturated world: can we even discern the meaningful from the meaningless? Can we give/take enough time, silence and patience for the real desire, the right gesture and the real meaning to grow within us? Otherwise, is our being just “for decoration”? And for whom?
